Astaxanthin, extracted from Haematococcus pluvialis, a green algae, is a powerful antioxidant known as the most effective discovered so far. Its protective capacity against free radicals is 550 times greater than that of vitamin E and 6000 times more effective than vitamin C, with a preventive effect on the appearance of skin spots.
